Merrell True Glove: Excellent Barefoot Shoes

The Merrell True Glove is a kind of minimalist shoe that is perfect for “barefoot running.” While people who wear True Gloves while running are not actually barefoot, the experience is close enough to get many of the health and performance benefits.

While Merrell do not market their shoes as barefoot shoes, their light weight, flexibility, and freedom of movement definitely promote the health of your foot in the same way walking or running without shoes does. One advantage is that the shoes give your feet protection. So, if you want to get the benefits of running shoeless, but are concerned about cutting your feet on rocks, glass or sticks, this can be an ideal alternative to going without shoes. They are barefoot shoes that protect your feet well.

Also, if you want to run in a situation where going barefoot is prohibited, such as in a race or at a health club, the True Glove makes a great alternative. While it does not offer all the benefits of barefoot running, such as the direct contact of your skin to the running surface, and the exact tactile feedback that such an experience brings, the tradeoffs are not too bad. You still have a very flexible sole, and material around your foot that is not too heavy. It is also quite breatheable.

So, if you are looking to go barefoot running, but you still need to wear shoes, then the Merrell True Glove shoes make a great alternative. They don’t feel exactly like you are barefoot, but as barefoot shoes go, they are excellent.

The shoe has a very slight heel giving a bit more cushion for barefoot running, while maintaining that barefoot feel. The foot hole is cut particularly low to give the ankle more free motion. This aids in preventing blisters and gives the desired minimalist feel. The shoes are designed to fold in half into a locked position to save space, making them easier to store and more appropriate for outdoor excursions. The shoes are a package deal along with a bag to transport the shoes when dirty. The bag and shoes were both created keeping the environment in mind, and use eco-friendly materials for production. This includes packaging materials, which are all recyclable. The shoes use a material called “CYCLEPET” which provides both incredible comfort to the foot and a slight ability to stretch for when movement places such demands on the footwear.

Did You Know This About Vibram FiveFingers KSO?

Posted in Top Rated Barefoot Running Shoes on September 14th, 2011 by admin – Be the first to comment

Vibram FiveFingers KSO

Vibrams seem to be a new trend for people who are interested in barefoot running. Vibram FiveFingers KSO is better known as barefoot shoes. There are several kinds of Vibram FiveFingers but the KSO brand is one of the more common brands. KSO stands for “Keep Stuff Out” because the earlier model had no upper protection so things would fall into the shoes and poke the user’s feet. KSO quickly put a stop to that with their mesh upper that wraps around the user’s entire foot. Vibram FiveFingers KSO is one of the most popular barefoot shoes people can buy and many who get them are satisfied with the brand. It is a great product but as always, every product has some pros and cons.

Check out more info and reviews at Amazon.com here.

The Pros:
Vibrams are the best alternative to barefoot running because it gives a little extra protection for the bottom of your feet while allowing the natural movement of your foot, as nature intended. Over time, your feet will develop muscles, which has been said to help with back, knee, and hip issues. Foot health is the key to a good body structure. That is why barefoot is the best way to go but that isn’t always possible with our surroundings and that’s where Vibrams come in.
The Cons:
Vibram FiveFingers KSO has a thin sole. It allows for maximum performance and strengthening of your foot but it doesn’t have as much protection. While running outside with Vibrams, if you were to step on a rock, it would hurt as much as if you were running barefoot. For that reason, people who wear Vibrams usually have to be more aware of their surroundings. Their appearance also isn’t very attractive to some people. If you’re interested in buying these shoes, you can get them cheap online at Amazon.com here.

I have to admit the first time I saw my old roommate with these shoes that he’d gone and lost his mind, but curiosity got the better of me and several months later I bought my own pair. Since purchasing my Five Fingers I have done everything from swimming to yoga, to weight training to running and true to their word my legs and lower back have gotten stronger and my posture has improved! I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who lives an active lifestyle with a variety of interests. As a single man they also make a great conversation starter at the beach!

There are several pros and cons about the Invo-8 Roclite 295 shoes. According to customers the shoes are brilliant overall. Customers agree that the shoes are comfortable, have a good fit, has a high quality, and they are light weight. One customer mentioned that the barefoot running shoes are perfect for him because they are very comfortable and are extremely light weight. On the contrary, one con about the shoe is that they wear out easily, causing the barefoot slogan to decrease in popularity.

If you’re thinkg of buying these shoes, you can can get them cheap online at Amazon.com here.

Finding a good pair of running shoes can sometimes be frustrating and difficult. Some people like to run up mountains while others prefer to jog on grass. Whatever the environmental condition may be, the Invo-8 Roclite 295 has a pair of shoes that should meet your personal needs.

I have used these a few times since getting them. I would use them more, but they are strictly trail shoes and I bounce back and forth between road and trail. I have used them for an 8 miler that was muddy and snowy/icy and they gave great traction, were super comfortable and very light weight. They are definitely less of a shoe, and that is what I was looking for. I was debating between these and the New Balance 101′s but went with these. I was hesitant because when I saw these in the store I thought the bottom was pretty soft and would wear out fast. But now that I have them, I don’t doubt they will last for a while. I would highly recommend trying these if you are on the fence about it, my feet thank me.

I just bought my nike free run +2 and they work perfectly for my feet, most of the times after running 5k my arch started aching. The first day i used these shoes i ran 8k without even remembering i had arch problems. U can actually FEEL each step you take. I wanted the hot pink ones but they didnt have em anymore so i got the blue ones, they r much brighter and they get dirty too easily.
